When transitioning into an Alkaline lifestyle, you should make gradual changes. If you stop cold turkey, you may find yourself reverting back to your old eating habits that you tried getting away from! As a solution, we recommend you follow our 80/20 eating ratio.
The 80/20 ratio consists of eating 80% Alkaline and 20% Acidic. Here are three ways you can implement the 80/20 ratio into your daily diet:
- Eating 5x a day- Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & 2 Snacks: 4 out of the 5 meals are Alkaline, & 1 meal is Acidic
- Eating a meal with 5 ingredients- 4 ingredients are Alkaline & 1 ingredient is Acidic
- Eating Alkaline 6 days a week & eating Acidic 1 day a week
Pork, Soy, Tofu, White Bread, White Rice, & White Sugar
Of course, you don't have to follow our ratio! These are just suggestions so that you can make your transition into an Alkaline lifestyle as smooth as possible.
